1982 • The Wild Wigglers
The Wild Wigglers was the creation of Liz Aggiss and Billie Cowie and when I saw them perform in 1982 they were, to my mind, the perfect combination of art and entertainment presented in an accessible cabaret format – and therefore perfect for the Zap Club.
So it was an easy decision to say yes when Liz asked me to join her and Ian Smith to perform in the Wigglers. We played art centres, night clubs, art galleries, appeared on TV (No. 73) and toured the UK and Holland.
